SjW's sound is deeply entwined with the past, being influenced by Led Zeppelin, The Police and Rush. Cream, Kings X and Hendrix have without a doubt had an impact on SjW's unique style too.
Simon White released his debut album 'Talk On Corners' in 2006, after returning from a year and half touring the Middle East as a bass player & vocalist. 'Talk On Corners' was recorded at No Machine Studio's in Wokingham, (Berkshire) with musicians Ben Mathews of Two Spot Gobi on Drums and Jamie Hunt (ex Biomechanical) on Guitar.
Both Ben and Jamie moved onto continue hectic touring and recording schedules with their respective bands. SjW gigged constantly as a four piece band throughout 2006/07 with Tom Vincent,(Drums), Mitch Gasser, (Guitar), Winston Eade,(Keyboards) and Jamie Hunt augmenting the line up. In late 2007 SjW stripped down to a 3 piece, with Mitch Gasser ever present on Guitar and a number of session drummers picking up sticks live. Simon White continued writing material in preparation for the bands next album release.
The Summer of 2008 saw Mitch Gasser and Simon White in Bank Cottage Studios, (Cotswolds), working with top producer George Shilling resulting in 10 new album tracks. "A State of Delirium" is a new direction from their previous dark roots. Whilst still offering dynamic intelligent rock their music takes on a more melodic and soulful feel.
