Hard rocking quartet Civil Chaos hit the scene in 2006 under the guise of Sidewinder. The band started off as a classic rock cover band through which they built up a library of influences and it wasn’t long before the band began churning out their own original material. The guys have a diverse collection of grungy classic rock material with blinding duel guitar solos, thunderous bass and heart stopping drum fills which never seem to disappoint.
With a few minor line-up changes over the last 2 years the latest line up includes brothers Nick Robinson and Chris Robinson, Lee Kitson and Paul Burton. With a new line-up a new name arrives; ‘Civil Chaos’. Civil Chaos intend to unleash more of their material over the next few years through the web, radio, media and gigging. Official Website

| A band from who you can hear clear links with the past. The opening sequence is something straight out of a ZZ Top playbook but once the rhythm guitar gets going you realise that this is a slightly different experience all together. The band sing about the hardships of living their day to day lives while being the rock n roll heads they all are - they definitely strike a chord with myself and the masses about 'Rolling into work at about half past eight' after a crazy night.. on top of doing the menial jobs they don't like 'because they need the cash'. The lead singer Nick Robinson is more then a little reminiscent of ACDC frontman Brian Johnson, his voice almost stretched to breaking point to produce the harrowing vocals that he does. Halfway through the single the music dies down to whispering volume before building itself back up again into what can only be described as an axe solo - something you could expect to hear on many 1980 albums. There are a few bands around nowadays who go for this tried and tested formula of yesteryear but this band really capture the vibe and modernise it enough for it to be good listening even for those who weren’t around to experience ACDC and Aerosmith at the height of their fame. This is definitely a band with a marketable sound and I expect them to have some surefire success over the coming years. Rock 3 Radio Live It Up- with more than a nod at the likes of AC/DC and Mr Big, this was always going to be awesome. It wears its influences on its sleeves but it does a damn good job.
