Cult of Whores and Dogs “Murder Lane”

Cult Of Whores And Dogs

Summer of 2009 gave rise to the nucleus of the band as founding member Keith Baird hooked up with guitarist Michael Atherton and began laying down the first tracks of the ‘Brass Knuckle Bondage and Morgue Rules’ EP, released in July 2010 to excellent reviews, with the help of Jessica Hardy (Vox, Bass) and session drummer Paul Tallent. Chris Mcleod, formerly of doom outfit ‘Nord’, took up full-time drumming duty to complete the line-up.

Their music is beautifully gothic,  morbidly fascinating, the hooks and melody line take the listener through each scene, borne out by both the subtle and dramatic aspects of an arrangement that delivers big on atmosphere, style and substance, with piano and cello spreading shade through the sorrow. The searching and heart-felt delivery of Jessica Hardy’s vocal and harmonies capture the fear and the sense of suffocation that unfolds on Murder Lane.  30th April 2012 – Available for download via iTunes.
