Indie – Mod trio Betamax new single release for September

Betamax, an indie-mod trio hailing from the North East corner of London, have recorded two new tracks for imminent release as a digital download.

The first song due for release, “Ninety-nine”, was first promoted  as part of a batch of three demo’s in 2009/10, and received fantastic reviews which encouraged the band to give the track the full studio treatment.In July 2011 they travelled the Outhouse Studios in Reading to work with engineer John Mitchell (previous works include Enter Shikari, Funeral for a Friend, You Me at Six) and re-recorded “Ninety-nine” along with a previously unreleased track “Sit & Listen”.

“Ninety-Nine” will be released as a digital download (iTunes, Amazon, etc) in September 2011 (Holier Than Thou Records)

“Sit & Listen” is due for release in November / December 2011

The Tripdown Project debut single “Nothing But Envy” out September

The TripDown Project are an Alternative Rock Band from the North of England, combining loud Guitars, drums and technology to create a sound far greater than any other two piece band!

Founder members of Sheffield based Colorpool, Ritchie Chappell and Jojo Blythe, formed The TripDown Project in 2009 after Colorpool disbanded. The band were originally formed as a song writing project but playing live was always a big draw.

Their debut single “Nothing But Envy was recorded and produced from their own studio.
Ritchie and Jojo are recording and producing for variuos bands and are commissioned to score a soundtrack for a new stage play due for release in 2012
