Nymphea Mate formed in 2005 in Turin, Italy. They play highly energetic yet catchy and melodic tunes, heavily influenced by the Beatles and brit-pop, but grew up listening to a variety of music genres, from ‘generation X’ to punk.
In 2007, Nymphea Mate recorded their first EP ‘Circumstance’ and were asked to play before a couple of established italian acts.
In 2010 Nymphea Mate signed a deal with Hertz Brigade Records, and soon after a fivesong EP, the self-titled “Nymphea Mate”, was released and followed by many live performances, the most memorable one supporting IMF, an all-star band including musicians such as Dave Abbruzzese (Pearl Jam) and Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones’historical choralist).
In 2011 “Endio”, their debut album, is finally released and presented on September 30th. Nymphea Mate’s first official LP, containing thirteen original tracks, is the result of one year of hard work.
It started with a debut album of live recordings titled TEPMORARY ALIEN RESIDENTS originally recorded in 1995 and distributed on the band’s own ‘Little Fish’ label. The album was later taken up and officially released in August 1997 by Total / BMG with distribution in UK by Pinnacle.
Now Ric Peet Engineer/Producer who’s credits include Muse, The Charlatans and Chemical Brothers, is now working with the band producing their second album due for release later this year through HTT
Adam Frei is the new project from the rock band formerly known as The Afterglow. Being so, Adam sees Dave Timson as frontman and bassist, Mik Lennard and Alberto Garau as guitarists, and Alex Cherry on the drums.
After releasing a few Eps, two albums and various radio and tv singles, and having widely toured UK, Italy and a few other European countries in almost 12 years of activity, the band felt the need for a deep change, for new freedom and for new higher boundaries to cross.
